This month I am especially appreciative of a busy schedule. Both the hunting and convention prep season are in full swing, and I have loved to see everyone enjoying time outside and time together. And I know we are going to start seeing a lot more of you around the DSC office in the coming weeks!
We certainly missed those of you who were unable to attend the DSC Awards Ceremony in September, but I was thrilled to hear people were out in the field and continue to be! I always enjoy this meeting, because I always leave with something new on my proverbial hunting bucket list. The opportunity to gather with old and new friends, hear their experiences, and even see their pictures, always ignites a new interest for me.
I look forward to hearing many more adventures as we get together for the DSC 100 kickoff meeting this Thursday, October 14. If you are a new member or are looking to get more involved, this is a perfect chance to learn about all the volunteer opportunities DSC offers. If you are unable to make it, but want to learn more about engaging with DSC, email Nate Watson at nate@biggame.org. We will find a place for you! Don’t worry- no experience necessary!
When you do have a chance to catch up, make sure you are up to date with all the latest information for the 40th Anniversary Convention. We have several updates about banquet tickets and day passes, auction items, and the exhibitors on the convention floor!
Banquet tickets and day passes go on sale this Friday, October 15. You can find the latest update in your email or read it again here. This year, we will be using a new registration software that utilizes your email via QR code, so be extra careful when filling out your information and follow all the steps. We have tried to make the new process as simple as possible, but we are always here if you have any questions. For banquet and day pass questions, Cass Olmstead will be happy to assist you at cass@biggame.org.
Don’t forget to read the 2022 Auction Listing as well. See what intrigues you and what you want to learn more about. Go ahead and figure out the items for your “watch list” during the auctions in January. It’s never too early to start planning your next adventure!
The Exhibitor Floor Plan is also available online for you to view, and current exhibitors should fill out their forms and confirm their account information is up to date. Exhibitors can find more information here.
Looking forward to seeing you all again soon! Until then, enjoy the business of fall and the journeys near and far!
