DSC is pleased to announce the formation of our newest chapter covering the South-Central Nebraska/North-Central Kansas region.
The NebKan Regional Sporting Club Chapter comprises a great group of strong, passionate conservationists in the Alma, Nebraska area lead by Chapter President Matt Massey.
“We feel that by keeping money locally, we can do great things,” Massey said. “Youth will play a big role in what we will be focusing on, along with helping improve our habitat for future outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen.”
New hunter recruitment, along with adhering to DSC’s Mission Statement of ensuring the conservation of wildlife through public engagement, education and advocacy for well-regulated hunting and sustainable use, will be the goals of the new chapter.
“We are excited to add the NebKan Regional Chapter to the DSC family,” said DSC CEO Corey Mason. “With like visions for wildlife conservation projects and engaging the next generation of sportsmen and sportswomen, we are excited for the many great things ahead with this partnership.”
Local dollars going to conservation projects in the region was one of the main factors for the group choosing to form a DSC Chapter.
“Habitat improvement in our region will be another big focus,” Massey added, “along with bringing the outdoorsmen back to the outdoors, as it’s a slow decline. If we can help future outdoorsmen, we are here to help.”
