DSC Conservation Society, its Board, and members are celebrating the tremendous success of their inaugural gala fundraiser supporting the DSC Frontline Foundation last Friday in Dallas.
The evening, entitled “ An Evening Behind The Frontline,” was held at the Park Cities Club, and drew 120 attendees, each of who enjoyed an evening of fellowship and fun.
An exciting and diverse range of both live and silent auction items offered something of interest to everyone, and the bidding was fast and fun as attendees competed for everything from world-class hunting and fishing packages, to local wine parings.
When the gavel fell on the last auction item, DSC Conservation Society has raised in excess of $36,000 in support of DSC Frontline.
“ We are so thankful that the DSC Conservation Society chose DSC Frontline as the beneficiary of this outstanding fundraising effort. As I looked around the room, I saw the future leadership of DSC in action, and know that many of tomorrow’s leaders of DSC will emerge from the ranks of DSC Conservation Society. For the past, and future recipients of grants to professional Hunters, guides, and Anti-Poaching professionals that will be made by DSC Frontline, I say Thank You, and Job Well Done!” said DSC Frontline President Karl Evans.
DSC Conservation Society is an affiliate arm of Dallas Safari Club. Comprised of DSC members between the ages of 23 – 45, Conservation Society’s goal is to provide additional support to the mission of DSC with it’s younger members.
The DSC Frontline Foundation, a Texas non-profit corporation with a 501c3 tax exempt status, was created by Dallas Safari Club members with the support and encouragement of the Dallas Safari Club.
The mission of the DSC FRONTLINE is to provide financial relief to professional hunters and guides… their families… and assistants worldwide who are killed, or seriously injured in the course of providing professional hunting services. In addition, DSC Frontline has now expanded it’s mission to support professional hunters, guides and outfitters who sustain serious injuries while providing anti-poaching services and the families of professional hunters, guides and outfitters, game scouts, rangers and anti-poaching specialists who are killed while performing anti-poaching duties.
