Over the course of four days, visitors of the DSC 2017 Convention will have the opportunity to contribute to DSC conservation efforts of ensuring the future of hunting and protecting a proud heritage. Through a series of silent and live auctions, convention attendees can bid on a wide variety of multi-day hunts, artwork, firearms, luxury fishing excursions, jewelry and more. This week’s highlighted auction item is a Fausti Over/Under ITALYCO SLX 28 Gauge Shotgun, valued at $21,000.
This model (one of one) is a remarkable example of Italian craftsmanship with its fine-crafted and highly engraved frame. It features a traditional half pistol grip stock with classic steel cap, splinter forend, oval medalina with DSC initials, automatic ejectors, single trigger and 28-inch barrel length with fixed chokes (Imp Cyl/Mod).
Signed and certified by the Master Engraver, this unique gun has a bone & charcoal color case with inserts in mother of pearl on both sides, a new interpretation of a classic. A beautiful leather case is included in this luxury package from Fausti.
The DSC Convention and Expo will be at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center and Omni Hotel in Dallas Jan. 5-8, 2017. Sportsmen and women are invited to be a part of another record-breaking event to help support conservation, education and hunter advocacy initiatives around the world. The theme this year is Adventure.
The expo offers 2017’s first opportunity to shop for hunts with top outfitters from around the globe. Displays also include world-class sporting gear, firearms, art, collectibles, entertainment, seminars, auctions and more. Together, attractions cover the space of nearly nine football fields.
Daily admission to the convention is $20 per person, with multi-day and discounted family packages available. Children under 12 and active military (with ID) are free of charge.
