Over the course of four days, visitors of the 2017 DSC Convention will have the opportunity to contribute to DSC conservation efforts of ensuring the future of hunting and protecting a proud heritage. Through a series of silent and live auctions, convention attendees can bid on a wide variety of multi-day hunts, artwork, firearms, luxury fishing excursions, jewelry and more. This week’s highlighted auction item is a four-day whitetail deer hunt for two at the Allen Creek Ranch in Michigan, valued at $17,500.
The hunting trip includes trophy fees for two deer scoring up to 160 inches gross per Boone and Crockett Club’s scoring system. Hunters can expect to be catered to at the ranch’s five-star lodge where they will enjoy the best down-home cooking around and evenings around the fire sharing stories and video footage of the day. This hunt is available Sept. 15 through Dec. 15, 2017 only. Method of take is rifle, muzzleloader or bow.
This package includes all meals, private en-suite accommodations, licenses, round-trip transfer between Grand Rapids, Michigan airport and the lodge (if required), personal hunting guide, field prep, transportation to taxidermist, taxidermy and hardwood base/habitat for two custom pedestal mount whitetail deer by Legends Taxidermy Studios. Auction winners will also receive a personalized tour of the World Champion Legends Taxidermy Studios’ facilities, showroom and art studio, where they will receive a portrait session with wildlife artist Debra Cooper and two framed/signed drawings of their experience for a memory of a lifetime.
The DSC Convention and Expo will be at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center and Omni Hotel in Dallas Jan. 5-8, 2017. Sportsmen and women are invited to be a part of another record-breaking event to help support conservation, education and hunter advocacy initiatives around the world. The theme this year is Adventure.
The expo offers 2017’s first opportunity to shop for hunts with top outfitters from around the globe. Displays also include world-class sporting gear, firearms, art, collectibles, entertainment, seminars, auctions and more. Together, attractions cover the space of nearly nine football fields.
Daily admission to the convention is $20 per person, with multi-day and discounted family packages available. Children under 12 and active military (with ID) are free of charge.
