Welcome to the dog days of summer. The temperatures are on the rise, and so is the excitement for DSC events!
We’re following up the incredible gala for the DSC Foundation with our own event: DSC’s Evening at the Mansion on August 14. I hope that you’ve seen the emails and social media posts about this exciting event, which will include an in-person social with a virtual auction component.
There are some incredible auction items on the docket and even a few that I can personally vouch for. The darted white rhino hunt with African Field Sports was a very intense and exhilarating experience. Many other plains game species call this area of South Africa’s Eastern Cape home and are available to hunt, and I can promise the hospitality is second to none.
Or what about a European getaway? I loved my hunting experience with Safari International in the small Balkan country of Macedonia. The Balkan Chamois is a fantastic mountain trophy, and the hunt is topped off with classic European lodging, delicious food, culture and amazing wine.
Personally, a few of my bucket list items are also on the auction block. Who wouldn’t want the opportunity to hunt with DSC’s 2018 Outfitter of the Year in Namibia with Aru Game Lodge? You might also remember this outfitter if you attended the DSC convention in 2019. Danene van der Westhuyzen gave a moving speech thanks to her raw emotion and commitment to hunting conservation.
